What is a dental implant?
Dental implants are titanium components that act as artificial tooth roots. Implants are surgically placed into the upper or lower jaw bone by a dentist. Our dentists only use FDA approved dental implants that are made in the USA. For more information click here.
How do implants work?
Implants integrate with the patient’s own bone and become a study support base for one or many teeth. Teeth are connected to the implants via abutments, which act as a base to support the dental restoration. The teeth attached to implants are very natural looking and often enhance or restore a patient’s smile!
How long does it take to get a dental implant?
At Annese DMD, Consultation is the first step when determining if you are a good candidate for dental implants. Usually a CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) and digital intraoral scans will be taken, which allows the dentist to plan the procedure digitally. The digital workflow allows the implant to be placed precisely and quickly, making the process more comfortable for the patient. A placed implant needs to heal anywhere from 3-6 months prior to restoration with a permanent restoration.
What type of restorations can go on implants?
Single Tooth

Multiple Teeth

Full Mouth of Teeth
Overdenture (snap in teeth)
Fixed Hybrid Bridge (All on 6)
